Groundworks Sponsors Halloween Food Truck Festival

Groundworks recently sponsored Variety’s Halloween Food Truck Festival. The event brought the community together for a weekend of fun, food, and entertainment. This sponsorship exemplifies Groundworks’ ongoing dedication to community engagement and making a positive impact.

Variety — the Children’s Charity of Toronto — has a long and rich history of breaking down barriers for children with disabilities. The organization’s mission is to provide inclusive programs and facilities that empower children of all abilities to participate fully in society. Variety Village, their flagship location in Toronto, has been instrumental in fostering inclusivity through sports, fitness, training, and skills development programs since 1981.

The two-day festival at Variety Village in Scarborough offered a wide range of activities, with over 11 food trucks, live music and entertainment including activity zones and costume contests. The event helped Variety raise funds for its essential programs while also increasing awareness of the organization’s mission. It also provided a platform for Groundworks to connect with the community, support a worthy cause, and contribute to creating a more inclusive society for all.
