Groundworks Sponsors YYC Hot Chocolate Fest

No one deserves to go hungry. Those of us who have the means to assist our neighbors should band together to lend a helping hand. There are so many ways to do so, including sipping a delicious cup of hot chocolate.

Groundworks is pleased to sponsor the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest. This event has become a local favorite and a unique way to help those in need.

Held throughout February, various restaurants, cafes, and chocolatiers compete for the YYC’s Best Hot Chocolate, Best Spirited Hot Chocolate, and Most Creative Hot Chocolate titles, and the Cup That Runneth Over Award.

Calgary residents can sample different hot chocolate varieties to discover and vote for their favorite during the month-long competition. Every cup purchased contributes $1-$3 to Calgary Meals on Wheels, helping provide nutritious meals to fellow community members.

The event generally raises over $100,000 annually for Meals on Wheels. Since 1965, Calgary Meals on Wheels has been providing healthy, quality, and accessible food, improving the food security and well-being of our community.
